Imagine: A Benefit for Women Who Rock

Illustrated poster, printed merchandise and social media advertising for a local benefit rock show.

Imagine: A Benefit for Women Who Rock was a rock music event hosted by The Kingsland Presents, featuring some of New York City’s most talented rock and metal musicians at The Kingsland in Brooklyn, NY. The event was organized in memory of a dear friend who passed away in 2018, whose likeness was used for the illustration. The majority of proceeds were donated to the National Organization for Women NYC (NOW NYC) for the advancement and protection of women’s rights.

As part of a volunteer effort, I designed and illustrated a printed merchandise line as well as a digital Facebook banner for event promotion. An alternate version of the poster design needed to be translated into a knockout design for a black T-shirt. Since many attendees were fellow musicians, double-sided guitar picks were also produced. Multiple lineup changes following the production of the printed materials posed a challenge and required my quick response to revise the digital banner.

Over 100 people were in attendance, and $3,000 was raised through ticket and merch sales.
